About Camp Run-A-Muck

Okay it begins on April 1st at 7pm est time which is which is I believe 4pm sl time. Why are we starting so late. Cause i have rl work and i don't get off till 5pm est.

Ok some details YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE HERE. View this as a day camp type experience where all you have to do is spend 8 hours a week here. Each day there are going to be different events and probably by the end of the month some of them will repeat. Now you do not have to do the events if you choose not to. I mean if you wish to sleep in your cabin for 8 hours you can do that or sit around and chat for 8 hours a week you can do that as well. And you can split the 8 hours any way you want. You can do 2 hours one day an hour for the rest of the week or do it all in one day or two days whatever works best for you.

Can you bring your families? Yes you may but im going to ask you guys to use common sense. I am on the mainland i do not own an island that means the sim can only hold 40 people. And i am not the only person living in ivanova so im going to ask you do not fill up the sim with your families. Please think of the people around and other scouts trying to get in to do their thing. So try to bring one or two family members at a time if their not many scouts there. More people more lag so please be considerate.

About Cabins each scout is assigned to a cabin. Sign ups are going till Sunday and if you don't sign up i just place you in a cabin. Now why are yall in cabins. Well during the weekends Saturday and Sunday were going to have cabin wars. On Saturday half the cabins will meet and compete and then Sunday the other half and we will see who are reining champs are.

Now there are going to be special sashes just for camp run a muck and during the events you are required to take pics and save em to your hard drive from there to receive your patch send em to this email addy kidscouts@yahoo.com and from there you receive your patch. Patches do not go on your regular sashes they are for camp run a muck only and do not count towards achievement and promotion in the group. They are for you to show that you went through camp run a muck and if you do receive all the patches you will get a trophy if you receive three quarts you get a plaque and if you get half you get a ribbon. Its completely up to you if you wish to do this if not there are other things to do.

We have a cave system for yall to explore (elevator into the caves coming soon) there will be fishing grounds, gardening, and cooking. So feel free to do those things as well. By mid month hopefully there will be a scout pony free for all scouts working and handed to all those without horses.

The Girl and Eagle Scouts have the basic information of first aid in wilderness setting. If there is any injury and Alex turner or myself Beth brokken is not there feel free to find Marianne MacCann, Justine Colville, or Pygar bu for help.

and one last question that was asked to me no there is no charge for camp run a muck. No you do not have to wear your uniforms at all time feel free to dress in pants though seeing there's lots of plants around they may be better then skirts.

If there are any further questions contact Beth Brokken

Girl and Eagle scouts March 22

Here we have marianne and pygar listening to me read from a rl medical journal about wilderness injuries. For in two weeks they start their wilderness survival badge and the scouts need to be prepared.

Happy Easter no meetings this sunday

Junior Girl and Boy Scouts March 22

This was our fishing meeting only junior girl scout showed up. My kids tagged along to and my husband. My husband worked hard on making a working fishing game for the scouts and we were the beta testers. The first test went great my daughter domi got to level 40 and gentle came very close to level 40 as well.

Brownies and Bobcats March 22

This week we went swimming we had a pretty big turn out and it was a lot of fun. Some girls were mermaids in the pool and at the end most of the kids were laying out on blankets sunbathing.
Happy Easter Everyone no Sunday meeting

Jounior girl and boy scouts march 15

Think we shouldve called this meeting day with the dragons. We went to grendals mountain biking and two scouts showed and my son came along. At first we didnt see any dragons till we hit a big grassy meadow. The second picture of the black dragon is the first dragon we saw who showed off his different fire breathing abilities to the girls. Then we started to cross a stone bridge and we saw these two dragons. Who were actually quite nice and didnt mind showing off for the scouts and getting their pictures done with them. Then we cycled along and the dragons followed. Gentle said at the end this is her best meeting ever. I have to say any day you get to see dragons is a cool day. Im glade we had an awesome time.

Brownies and Bobcats March 15

ok we got off to rock start due to SL glitching. I know shocking news right. We probably didnt have as big as turn as we normally do. Due to the simple fact no one could send out a group IM to tell people it was time for the meeting.

But we had the meeting and we had about 15 people there. And we went around and everyone said something about their birth sign while we sat in a doom full of the stars and planets.

March 9 Girl and Eagle Scouts

Here we have another fun day of bowling Here is marianne bowling here ball down the alley.
Here is marianne and her brother pygar both bowling they each did about two games each and had alot of fun.
Heres a picture of all of us marianne, pygar, my son baby who is a bobcat, and myself.

Good work guys u really earned your bowling badges

March 9 Brownies and Bobcats

Here we are at the brownie event. Pretty Big Turn Out as u see here all the scouts getting ready to pitch their tents and make their sleeping bags.
Heres a far off shot of the scouts making and working on their camp sights

Here are four tents that some little girls worked on. Top left she used sculptie prims to make her sleeping back. Top Right she used a camo theme and made her own fire. Bottom Left We have a zoom out of girls putting their tents in a circle and bottom right we have one girl putting her profile picture on the side of her tent. And here we are around the end of the meeting what camping trip wouldn't be complete without the traditional ghost stories.

March 9 Junior Girl and Boy Scouts

Theres no pictures of this event. It was mainly everyone who came yesterday and we just went sailing in our own boats and jet skis having fun in the water. A few brownies and bobcats showed up as well. And we had a wet and fun time playing around in the ocean.

March 8 Girl and Eagle Scouts

Here we are at splitsville bowling alley. Very huge bowling alley and very fun. Only one girl scout showed up Justine Colville and she brought her friend fem with here. Her friend Fem beat me and Justine in bowling almost bowled a turkey to. Heres some shots of the two of them bowling.

March 8 Junior Girl and Boy Scouts

Here we have the Junior Girl and Graziano i mean boy scouts. This weekends trip was small boat sailing. It was just an accident waiting to happen. Second Life was buggy and the sim went down on us.
This is what happened to Nicole's boat when the sim went down. This is a public sim owned by the lindens call amwr and thats an oil rig in the background and a small ferry boat goes between the sims.
so when the sim came back up some ditched their boats for jet skis and it become a collision coarse was lots of fun.

Brownies and Bobcats March 8

This weeks event was camping. Here we are in the meeting hall pitching out tents. We had a pre made kit done for those who couldn't build all they had to was line the pieces and drop the textures anyone can do it. But heres one of the tent of the scouts getting creative.
Heres a far off shot of the campsite the scouts could wander anywhere in the meeting hall to build. Friendly tip to those who get lagged on days we build walk far off from the group being father away from others can help reduce lag.

March 2 Girl and Eagle Scout meeting

These are the original founding members of Kid Scouts Pygar, Marianne, and Justine

Their Badge was engineering. They had to build Bridges out of drinking straws. Below we have Marianne and her brother building their bridges.
Here is Justine's bridge

Pygar decided to be different from the ladies and make his able to walk on. Those are some pretty strong drinking straws.

Opps spoke to soon the bridge collapsed and made a big mess

These guys did a great job next week their going bowling

March 2 Junior Girl and Boy Scouts

My PGA tour scouts. we had four junior girl scouts show and a brownie. I invite other members from the levels to attend the other meetings just a few though. You can attend but not earn the badge. Heres the girls about to tee offWhen u first try its really hard heres emiko below getting her first ball in the hole great job hun.

Here we have gentle at the moby dick hole getting her ball in the hole

This mini golf coarse is open 24/7 it is 300 meters above the ground located at the Kid Scout Arcade and is always free to play.

March 2 Brownies and Bobcats

Ok no Bobcats showed but heres the brownie meeting as u can see really big turn out Due to the wonderfulness world of sl being laggy and mean to uploads on Sunday not all scouts could take pictures. SO it became a show and tell of a portrait of themselves and a found memory but alot of scouts were able to take pictures. We had two flaming teddy bears. One girl threw her bear into the bone fire and another girl encased a large pink bear in flames.

Next week camping

March 1st Junior Girl and Boy Meeting

This was a smaller turn out then the brownies due to the fact there aren't as many in this group. The junior girls and boys scouts are the step above brownies and bobcats. They worked hard to gain this achievement. We had a turn out of four ladies to this meeting. We went mini golfing in the kid scout arcade which is above the meeting hall. Heres a picture of us getting ready to tee off at the first hole. For some it was really hard to get how to do the first one. But after the first hole these girls became pro golfers.

None of the Girl and Eagle Scouts showed on the 1st so this is how our Saturday in kid scouts went.

March 1st Brownies Meeting

at the brownie meeting

we had a very large turnout with alot of creative girls and one boy. We did photography the purpose of this meeting was to get the kids to either see something creative or make something creative and do a self portrait of themselves.
Heres some photos of the meeting. The first photo is a far out shot of the girls getting ready to take their pictures. The last picture was just crazy our brownie scout Abagail said she didnt see anything interesting so decided to roast a teddy bear.

The information Nc on Kid Scouts

Hello,
Kid Scouts is fully sponosored by two stores Rebel Chick and Kids Life.

Ty for your intrest in Kid Scouts little bit about us first.
We were founded in Sept 2006 and disbanded for about 11 months due to rl and not having time for sl. Then we regrouped in Oct 2007 and have been going strong and just hit over 100 members in the kid scout group. Orginally we met in the sim of gourdneck in my old theme park named Thrill Ville but now kid scouts has its home here in Ivanovaô€€€

Kid Scouts is completely non profit. There are no dues for uniforms or joining the group what so ever. The main goal is so baby, infant, toddler, child, pre teen, and early teenage avies can come together for a bit of fun.

We accept Boys and Girls from 2 weeks old to 16 years old.
All Boys start off as bobcats and all girls start off as brownies regardless of their age. You reach the other levels by merit and particpating in the group activites. You never have to do anything perfectly here you just have to try.

Note to Parents:
Parents are welcome to come to all the meetings with their child. Parents are welcome to join the kid scout group so they can receieve notices and know whats going on and see the group chat. BUT theres always a but we sometimes have arts and craft and building projects and i understand not everyone can build i provide the basic shapes and textures and the angles that they go so people who do not understand how to build and can just line up the prims. So let your child do their work if they need help linking thats one thing but dont build their tent for them or bird house.

Meeting Times:
Brownies and Bobcats: Saturdays 10am-11am sl time
Sundays 11am-12pm sl time
Junior Girl and Boy: Saturdays 11am-12pm sl time
Sundays 10am-11am sl time
Girl and Eagle: Satudays 12pm-1pm sl time
Sundays 12pm-1pm sl time

The reason there are two meetings each week is the fact some people can make one and not the other due to rl. The meetings repeat so you only have to come to one meeting a week.

The schudle of events are posted in the meeting hall on BillBoards if your ever wandering what were up to for the following week.

Meetings:
Generally every meeting we have you can earn a merit badge. I understand lag so i know when your computer is laggy its hard to do. Thats why i say all you have to do is try. You show up you have fun you make some friends thats the main goal of scouts right there is for you guys to have fun and be with other child avies in a safe enviroment.

From this point on ANY time i have a meeting and its planned that i have to leave Ivanova like for example surfing we had to go to the weather channel sim I will send out a permisson slipe the week prior to the event stateing where were going with a landmark. If you the parent deem this place a spot you do not wish to take your child then I will not take them there and they will simply miss that meeting that simple.

The meetings range from all sorts of events. In the meeting hall we have three sections on the wall of all the badges that are so far schudle for events and that have been earned. So feel free to browse the badges.

Other levels attending another levels meeting. Lets say a junior girl/boy scout wants to go to the brownie/bobcat meeting. Thats fine no problem with that she/he just wont earn the badge for the brownie/bobcat meeting. Or if a brownie/bobcat wishes to go to a junior girl/boy event they wont earn that badge. If you are a brownie or bobcat you can only earn the badge desiganted for your group. You welcome to go to the other levels events if you like but you can not earn their badge.

Promotions:
(this has recenetly change please read)
Due to the fact alot of kids have said i want my sash full i refuse to be promoted their absolutely right.
Thats why after careful months of thinking Kid Scouts is raising the amount of badges needed for promotion so that the scouts can experience the many different events and not feel like they missed out on anything.

Brownies and Bobcats need ten merit badges to be promoted
Junior Girl and Boy Scouts need 18 badges to be promoted
Girl and Eagle Scouts need 24 badges to be promoted

Now you may ask whats beyond the Girl and Eagle Scout Level. Well if you can make it past that many badges i have a feeling you really like the group at this point. So if you manage to get the 24 badges then you will be prompted to assistant scout leader. Where each week we will meet discuss the schedule of events. Where u can request which group of scouts u wish to aid with. If you wish to help with the brownies and bobcats you come to the brownie and bobcat meetings and help run the event.

Award Cermoney:
Now when and where do you get promoted
We generally have a talent show right before the award cermoney. But due to our last one this is whats gonna happen.

Scouts will be broken into two or if need be three or four groups. There will be 15 scouts in each group. Those 15 will be this is your day for the talent show and this is your day for the award cermoney and those 15 scouts each get ONE ticket. To give to ONE family member to come and watch them. I am on the mainland i can not afford an island i can only afford half of a sim not a whole one. The sim max is 40 and im not the only one here so 31 people will leave 9 open for the other businesses.

If you do not have a ticket and you are at the talent show/award cermoney you will be IMed and asked to leave the sim so that there is room for the scouts and people who have tickets.

After the award cermoney your sash starts a new meaning you do not transfer your brownie bobcat badges onto the new sash. The next level has a completely new set of badges for you to earn. Your old sash many scouts are hanging them on their walls or on a shelf because it really is an accomplishment to have completed it. So your old sash and badges is yours to with as you like but when you are promoted you start a new.

Rules for the Scouts:
Dont kill each other
Keep all RL out i dont want to hearpoliticss orreligionn here this is SL not RL
Do not spam the group with parties and what not. Group Chat is reserved for questions about scouts, warning scouts about perverts out there, and to announce when the meeting is start or a change in the group.
